Health and Global Policy Institute (HGPI) Chairman Dr. Kiyoshi Kurokawa gave a keynote lecture at Hiroshima University’s dementia symposium, “Envisioning Inclusive Societies in the Era of Life with COVID-19.”
During his speech, Dr. Kurokawa called for new ways of thinking, saying, “With digital technology, humanity is advancing at an unprecedented rate. For dementia policy, as well, it is important to foster the next generation with new ideas moving forward.” He also advised the audience to work without fear of mistakes while doing so, telling them, “The greatest mistake is to do nothing out of fear of failure. Make mistakes and learn from them.”
